Oh my gosh, I AM HERE!!!!!!!!!!
So my journey started out on Saturday morning when i woke up at like 5:00. We left for the airport at liek 6:20 and got there at like 8:45 or 9:00. We kind of got bad directions from Mapquest or MSN, but whatever. Then my bags were too heavy so we had to even them out, and after that i said a teary goodbye to my family adn best friend Emily, and left. Everything was really fine on the way to detriot from des moines, and the detriot airport is really nice, with this neat thunderstorm hallway and a fountain. I saw this other rotary girl sitting by the fountain and we talked a bit and she said she was goign to Denmark as well, adn then when i got to the gate there were like five other rotary students all going to denmark. When the fountain girl got there, we were a group of seven, and one of the other girls said she was goign to ålborg too, which was really neat. When we got onto the huge plane (flyemaskin) we found two other rotaries, which turned out to be really nice. I had actually not been looking forward to traveling with other rotary students, but i was pleasantly surprised! The best part of the whole trip was when we were sitting in the plane (which was remarkably nice) and after a while it appeared that there was something wrong, because we werent leaving. Then the pilot comes on and says that someone accidentally hit part of the luggage carrier machine against the plane and there was a dent, but he said they were thinking about just fixing it with speed tape (no joke!) and flying away! I thought that was hilarious! but after about another hour the pilot came back and told us we were deplaning adn going to another gate. But our departure from there wasnt until 8:00 and we were originally scheduled for 5:24. This ment that once we got to amsterdam, we would miss our 9:45 flight to copenhagen. oops. Not good, so the flight was uneventful from detriot to amsterdam. and they told us to go to a transfer desk and get a tranfer. so we did. but that meant flying through southern Germany (dont ask me what town, i forgot) so guess what? I have been to Germany. But that flight was like at 12:20 and so we spent about four hours in Germany and then flew to Copenhagen finally and got there at like 7:45 and although there was an 8 adn a 11 flight to ålborg, they were booked so sierra and I and three other rotary student stayed in a hotel in copenhagen that some really nice rotary men helped us with. But unfortuately our baggage (or at least some of ours)(Sierra and hallie got theres!!!)(evil glares at sierra and hallie!) was still in amsterdam. So as i sit at my friends the warburgs, I am wearing the same clothes I put on Saturday morning. Gross!!! =) hehe owell! But i got a shower this morning at the hotel adn even though Im really really tired still, Im so excited to be here!!! yay!!!!but this morning was relatively uneventful, other than the fact that the ticket (billet) that i booked last night in copenhagen didnt work this morning so the really nice rotary man paid for my ticket (billet). Owell! it all worked out as i knew it would.

Hiiii ! ! ! ! !
Hey Al,I'm sorry I missed you before you left. When I called Mom, she was watching your plane fly away. :( I glad you finally got there. I've been thinking about you. :) It sounds like you had a memorable trip. Things are good well in CT. I went to Boston last weekend and it was fun. We walked the freedom trail and it was completely like de ja vou. Every thing we got to was familiar from when we visited. Do you remember going to Bunker Hill (which is really Breed's Hill, they went to the wrong hill) and only Mom and Grant went up to the top? I was going to go up this time but when I was at the entrance, four people came down, sweating, out-of-breath, and looking miserable. We asked them if the view was worth it and they said, NO! So I decided against it. :) When you get the chance, let me know what your address is so I can send you your birthday present. :) I got a letter from Pat the other day and it had the picture of the three of us at your TEC. No much else is going on. Hope everything is going well. Have a great day. I miss you!
Love,
Nat
